Star Wars The Acolyte: Actress is doing what fans love to see

Since Collider published an article titled Demand for 'The Acolyte' Is Sky-High Despite Cancellation, news outlets on the internet have picked it up, and fan-favorite actress Rebecca Henderson, who plays Vernestra Rwoh in Star Wars The Acolyte, is doing what she does best. Henderson had shown support even before this new Collider article dropped when Acolyte Fans revealed their Valentine’s Day billboard in New York Time Square. Rebecca Henderson once again voiced her support for The Acolyte on Instagram Stories, and Star Wars Holocron posted on x about it.

"The Acolyte has been a massive hit for Disney+," she wrote alongside a screenshot of the article. "It was canceled because of IYKYK, but the fans love it, and we love you."

Henderson also seemed to reference the initial backlash that The Acolyte received while acknowledging the true audience that remained loyal to the show.

New data

The outlet reports that, according to Parrot Analytics, the show received more than twenty times the average demand compared to the current streaming landscape, proving there is an audience for The Acolyte Season 2.

Acolyte fans love Henderson

Since Henderson has been showing her support on Instagram stories, Acolyte fans have been responding very well by reblogging on Tumblr, leaving comments on other social media platforms and making post about it.

In an interview in late December 2024 interview, Alan Bergman, co-chairman of Disney Entertainment, stated that the decision to cancel The Acolyte was due to financial reasons. "We were happy with our performance, but it wasn’t where we needed it to be given the cost structure of that title, quite frankly, to go and make a Season 2," Bergman revealed. "So that’s the reason why we didn’t do that." Forbes revealed that The Acolyte had a price tag of $230 million.
