They’re running out of Evidence

An X post claimed that Mon Mothma, played by actress Genevieve O'Reilly, was a fake Mon Mothma. They also called her the B-word and Gilroy the A-word.

However, this is far from the truth. George Lucas picked this Mon Mothma actress for Episode three. Before the Film’s release director[7] George Lucas and producer Rick McCallum wrote to O'Reilly informing her that the scenes of her speaking were cut. The actress respected their decision and reasoned that the film needed to focus on Darth Vader's origin. When O'Reilly watched the film, the scenes' exclusion made total sense to her.[6]

The Conclusion

At this point, it seems people are trying to find evidence to prove why Disney Star Wars is terrible and fake. A notable example of something like this post is the whole fire in space in The Acolyte; Star Wars has always had a fire in space and explosions. Now, yes, this could also be a case of unawareness that O'Reilly was and is Mon Mothma. Still, I highly doubt it because Disney had O’Reilly return for Andor season 1, Ashoka, and Rouge One. She also voiced her character for several episodes of the TV series Star Wars Rebels. So, this isn’t a new actress playing Mon Mothma for Andor season 2.
