Lesley Headland is diving headfirst into her next electrifying project

Lesley Headland has not let her haters get to her after the cancelation of The Acolyte. She is currently doing a Broadway show that she created called Cult of Love, which is going to come to an end on February 2, but don’t fret if you haven’t seen it because Headland Confirmed in an interview with Variety that a screen adaptation of her family drama is in the works, stating that "the most compelling thing to me, regardless of genre, are characters and performances.”

“This is a nice, big ensemble where everybody gets their knife in. Seeing something like that in the world where people can experience it for more than an 11-week run would be fantastic... My cinematographer, Chris Teague, has come twice to Cult of Love. We’ve talked a lot about visuals rather than how to textually adapt it. The music would be interesting, too. Diegetic music like ours is always really cool to execute."

Headland’s wife is also in the Broadway show and has worked with Headland before she was in The Acolyte and played vernestra rwoh. It’s great to see these two have a successful project after The Acolyte’s cancelation.
